Panda Bear Cookie

I painted this panda bear on fondant a little while back and I'm now just getting around to sharing it with you. It was on top of the batch of gingerbread cookies that I made and froze recently and I packed this cookie in my daughter's lunch.

My daughter loved the cookie and I think this might possibly be my favorite painted fondant so far. It had many food coloring wash layers and took several days of drying in-between time since it was painted on marshmallow fondant. I sure wish food coloring on marshmallow fondant dried faster because the marshmallow taste is so good.
Since the time I painted this, my daughter is no longer into her fixation with panda bears.  I've been sad about this sort of.  Any time my kids get "into" things, I guess I do too.  Do you know what I mean?

She loved panda bears forever really and if you've been with my blog for awhile, you might remember all the panda bear art projects my daughter and I did two summers ago. Panda bears have been around in our house for a long time I guess....time to let them go now and get "into" something new.

Here's a photo of the panda bear in-progress. When I snapped this picture, I was just starting on the first wash with the outfit and the umbrella.

Blessings,
Jenni
