In order to teach this one, I focused on a theme of loving one another because if we love others, hatred and murder will be far from our hearts.
The three main points that we are working on for this are:
Love your enemies
Do unto others
Other verses that tied into our discussion were:
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
I made a solid red heart base pancake for the box and three heart outlines that fit on top which acted like the sides. It was a little tricky to make them all the same size to fit on top and although not a perfect fit, they worked well enough.
The "chocolates" were basically three small round pancakes stacked on top of each other with a few swirly/heart pancakes on top.
It's been ages since I've made any pancake roses so it took a few attempts
to remember how I used to make them.
This last photo is of a few extra pancake hearts that I made because I had some leftover batter. My son was making a heart shaped butterfly....or at least I think that's what he was making.
