I thought it might be fun to show you little peek into my daily surroundings....and because my Mom asked me to (so Mom, this is for you also).
This above photo I took of the field across the street from our house. I snapped this after sending my kids off to school one morning and noticed that the light was really pretty. Our neighbor just had the field freshly cut and bailed. It still looks like this because they haven't gathered up the hay bails yet and usually it takes them months before they do it seems.
The field behind our house had these lovely yellow flowers and I took the above right photo right before they cut and bailed the back field. I was so glad I snapped this because we won't see it again looking all yellow and summery until next year and now it's gone.
The farm on the bottom left, I pass by every time I leave the house. They have both horses and cows which are fun to look at.
My neighbor has been growing some really beautiful flowers this year (I only seem to be able to "grow" the wild flower variety and pumpkins that never sprout-Hehee!). I guess I don't have much of a green thumb so I have to enjoy the bounty of her flowers. She told me that zinnias are really easy to grow so maybe I should give them a whirl next year.
In the top right photo, you can see a little bit of a hay bail from the back field.
Everything is starting to turn golden now with the lack of rain we've been having and I suppose that it's also because it's getting closer to fall....can't wait for that!
I started taking my kids on "photo taking" adventures and I shot this photo during that. I have a point and shoot camera that my kids can use and it's been a blast sharing my love of photography with them!
